Eligibility

QF HackFest is open to participants worldwide. Students, professionals, researchers, developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts are all welcome to participate.

Team Formation

Participants may compete:

  • Individually
  • In teams of up to 5 members

Cross-disciplinary teams are strongly encouraged.

Project Development

Projects should be developed during the hackathon period.

Participants may use:

  • Open-source libraries
  • Public APIs
  • Third-party frameworks
  • Development tools

Proper attribution must be provided where applicable.

Original Work

All submitted work must be original.

The following are prohibited:

  • Plagiarism
  • Copying another team's project
  • Submitting previously completed projects without significant new development
  • Misrepresentation of work
Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to create a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment.

The following behaviors will not be tolerated:

  • Harassment
  • Hate speech
  • Discrimination
  • Personal attacks
  • Threatening behavior
  • Offensive content

Participants who violate these guidelines may be disqualified from the event.

Judging

Projects will be reviewed by judges based on criteria published by the organizers.

Judges' decisions are final and binding.

Intellectual Property

Participants retain ownership of their projects.

By participating, teams grant organizers permission to showcase submitted projects, descriptions, screenshots, presentations, and demo videos for promotional and educational purposes.

Disqualification

The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant or team found violating the rules or engaging in unfair conduct.
